Hello! Lily Luna here. How are you today?
For those who are unaware, today all over the world, lots of people went to protest for women's rights and protest against Trump, the current president of the United States.
So, what do you think? Did you go fight for women's equality? Did you vote in the U.S. elections? Are you angry, sad, happy, excited, etc, about America's new president? Who sulked in the rain? Who paraded down the street with joy? Who feels neutral about this whole situation?
Regardless of your political beliefs, everyone is welcome here on this blog. No matter what religion, gender, race, ethnicity, political party, etc, you are, you are welcome to read out posts as long as you would like to.
Now, about the end of 2016...
I, for one, agree that is wasn't the best year. It wasn't very good at all. With deaths of so many people (Alan Rickman, David Bowie, Carrie Fisher, and many others) it turned out to be a very sad year for everyone. We now have a new start. We have a chance to start again! Though we can't control the deaths of family, friends, loved ones, role models, etc, we can try to make 2017 a little better than last year. On the bright side, the sun still rose, everyday we got up and lived. Teachers taught. Students learned. Cows grazed on the grass. Cake was eaten. Maybe that makes our year little better.
Take a look out the window. Is the sun shining? Is it cloudy? Do we still have a sky up there?
The answer is yes. The sky is up there, alive, and not falling. The ground is still beneath our feet. Balloons are still flying high with the birds, the clouds, the sun, the moon, and the stars. Say hello to our world.
